The Pokémon Company have shared details about the ruleset for Series 5 of Ranked Battle in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Here’s all you need to know:
- Pokémon allowed: Galar and Ise of Amor DLC + Rowlet, Litten, Popplio (+ evolutions) + Cobalion + Terrakion + Virizion
- Pokémon banned: Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus
- Gigantamax Pokémon allowed: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Butterfree, Pikachu, Meowth, Machamp, Gengar, Kingler, Lapras, Eevee, Snorlax, Garbodor, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, Corviknight, Orbeetle, Drednaw, Coalossal, Flapple, Appletun, Sandaconda, Toxtricity, Centiskorch, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, Alcremie, Copperajah, Duraludon, Urshifu
- Pokémon restrictions: Galar or Battle Ready Marks required
- Team: 6 Pokémon, with 3 sent to battle in Singles, and 4 in Doubles
- Level: 1 to 100, level set at 50
