Pokémon Trading Card Game

The Pokémon Company have announced the latest expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Champion’s Path. It will be released on September 25th.

Here’s some details:

Embark on an exciting new adventure through the Galar region with the Pokémon TCG: Champion’s Path expansion! In this special expansion, you’ll encounter the region’s many Gym Leaders and the Pokémon partners that battle alongside them. There are powerful Pokémon V like Eldegoss V, Lucario V, Duraludon V, and many others. That’s not all, as you’ll also find massive Pokémon VMAX, such as Drednaw VMAX and Alcremie VMAX. But you’re not the only one on the path to the championship—your rivals are determined to make it to the top as well. Hit the Gyms and blaze your own path with the Pokémon TCG: Champion’s Path expansion!

In Champion’s Path, Trainers will have the unique ability to “recreate” their journey through the Galar region in the Pokémon TCG by collecting various pins featuring Gym logos as well as foil cards representing the partner Pokémon of each Gym Leader—similar to what they’d experience in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games. Key highlights from the set include 11 Pokémon V plus four full-art Pokémon V, three Pokémon VMAX, and one full-art Supporter card. Trainers will be able to discover Venusaur, Lucario, and Incineroar as new Pokémon V—plus Gigantamax Pokémon like Drednaw VMAX and Alcremie VMAX.

The expansion includes the following:

  • Over 70 cards
  • Cards featuring recently discovered Pokémon from the Galar region
  • 15 awesome Pokémon V and 3 gigantic Pokémon VMAX
  • 19 Trainer cards and a Special Energy card

The Collection will be available in six version, each themed after a Gym Leader from the Galar region, and include a corresponding pin and foil card:

  • Milo’s Turffield Gym, Nessa’s Hulbury Gym, and Kabu’s Motostoke Gym – Out on September 25th
  • Opal’s Ballonlea Gym, Piers’ Spikemuth Gym, and Raihan’s Hammerlocke Gym – Out on November 13th

There’s also a Special Pin Collection, available in two versions (each including collector’s pins featuring each Gym’s two logos and two foil cards showcasing the partner Pokémon of both Gym Leaders):

  • Stow-on-Side Gym
  • Circhester Gym

The Special Pin Collection will be released on October 2nd.

And that’s not all! The following will also be released from September 25th onwards:
