Pokémon Sun and Moon – Battle Competition

Today, a new Battle Competition for Pokémon Sun and Moon was announced. It’s called the No Holds Barred, and here’s everything you need to know about it:

  • Format: Single Battles, 3 Pokémon per battle;
  • Pokémon restrictions: National Pokédex No. 001 through 802 only (duplicate Pokémon allowed)
  • Pokémon banned: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Solgaleo, and Lunala,
  • Item restrictions: none;
  • Level: 1 to 100, but level upped to 100 during battles;
  • Registration: August 17th to August 24th. Participant limit: TBC
  • Battles: August 25th to August 27th, with a limit of 15 battles/player and /day;
  • Results: announced sometime in September;
  • Participation gift (must complete at least 3 battles): 50BP.

Pokémon Shuffle

Today, some new content for Pokémon Shuffle went live:

  • a special stage featuring Tapu Koko is now available until August 15th;
  • the first “Start of Month Challenge” is now available. It’s a special, randomi stage you can only play during the first three days of the month, that you can retry using 1 Jewel. If you manage to beat it, you get a special bonus: Audino = 3 Mega Speedup; Bulbasaur = Skill Booster L, Charmander = 2 Mega Speedup, Squirtle = 5,000 Coins, Espurr = 10 Hearts;
  • the first batch of “Great Challenge Daily Pokémon” is now available. Every day, you get to play a previous Great Challenge Pokémon, with the first batch including Hoopa, Togekiss (Winking), Wigglytuff (Winking), Wailord, Keldeo, Greninja, and Omastar;
  • the special stage featuring Goodra is back until August 8th;
  • the special stage featuring Regice is back until August 8th;
  • the special stage featuring Suicune is back until August 8th.

Also, the rewards are currently being sent for the Shiny Mega Tyranitar Competitive Stage. Here’s what you can claim via the in-game check-in feature (before August 8th):

  • Top 100 players in Europe, Top 100 players in North America, and Top 500 players in Japan = 1 Level Up, 5 Mega Speedup, 10 Raise Max Level
  • Top 300 players in Europe, Top 400 players in North America, and Top 1 500 players in Japan = 1 Level Up, 4 Mega Speedup, 8 Raise Max Level
  • Top 500 players in Europe, Top 800 players in North America, and Top 3 000 players in Japan = 1 Level Up, 3 Mega Speedup, 6 Raise Max Level
  • Top 900 players in Europe, Top 1 300 players in North America, and Top 5 000 players in Japan = 1 Level Up, 2 Mega Speedup, 4 Raise Max Level
  • Top 1 800 players in Europe, Top 2 500 players in North America, and Top 10 000 players in Japan = 1 Level Up, 2 Mega Speedup, 2 Raise Max Level

NB: if you don’t already have the Tyranitarite, you will get it instead of the Level Up.
