PokéNews (April 9): Zeraora revealed / Pokémon The Movie / Pokémon GO

Today’s Pokémon news: Zeraora finally revealed, but also…

  • Pokémon The Movie: Everyone’s Story
  • Pokémon GO

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Zeraora

Today, the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora was finally revealed. Here’s all you need to know about it:

The Mythical Pokémon Zeraora appears like a thunderbolt! This Pokémon creates a powerful magnetic field by emitting strong electric currents from the pads on its hands and feet. It can use this magnetic field to levitate and move through the air at high speed. Its max speed is said to be about the same as that of a lightning strike.

Unlike most Electric-type Pokémon, it doesn’t have an organ within its body that can produce electricity. However, it is able to gather and store electricity from outside sources, then use it as its own electric energy. When it uses massive amounts of electricity, its fur stands on end all over its body.

Unfortunately, we don’t know when it will be distributed. In Japan, the distribution will most likely coincide with the release of the latest Pokémon Movie, in July.

  • Trito: Gaku Hamada
  • Hisui: Masako Nozawa
  • Largo: Mana Ashida

Pokémon GO

Tomorrow (April 10th), a brand new event focused on the Kanto region will go live in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all we know about it for now, but since it starts tomorrow, we should be hearing about it pretty soon!

Also, Niantic has shared some details about the next Community Day (on April 15th), and more precisely the special Mareep you will be able to catch during the event. If you evolve it into Flaaffy, and then into Ampharos while the event is live, it will learn Dragon Pulse (a move it usually cannot have in Pokémon GO).
