Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: details and pricing for the Z-Power Ring toy

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company finally shared some proper details about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and revealed the Z-Power Ring. It’s a replacement to the Z-Ring you get to use in Pokémon Sun and Moon, and it allows you to use even more Z-Moves than before (including a few exclusive ones, such as Kommo-o’s).

And just like they did for Pokémon Sun and Moon, Takara-Tomy is going to release a Z-Power Ring toy alongside Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It’s a replica of the actual Z-Power Ring, that can synchronize with the game, allowing you to enjoy a true “4D” experience.

Basically, the toy will flash, make sounds, and even vibrate depending on what’s happening on the screen, in-game. To be more precise, this will happen when you use a Z-Move in battle, though obviously, you can use the toys on its own, without the game.

In Japan, Takara-Tomy is going to release a Z-Power Ring Set, that includes the following:

  • the actual ring/bracelet
  • 6 Z-Crystals
  • Collection Board (for the Z-Crystal, presumably)
  • Pokémon Ga-Olé Special Disc (Pokémon Ga-Olé is an Arcade game only available in Japan)

This set will cost 4 990 Yen (so about 45€ / $45 / £35). The pricing for other regions is yet to be confirmed.

Finally, here’s some more picture for the toy:

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (3DS) comes out on November 17th, worldwide.
