Pokémon news (March 6) – Pokémon GO: field tests in Japan; more
Today’s Pokémon news:
- Pokémon GO
- Special Battle Season 15
Pokémon GO
On Friday, Niantic announced that field tests for Pokémon GO would start later this month in Japan. Recruitment has already started on the official website, but unfortunately, you can only access it if you live in Japan. Field tests will take place in other countries in the (near) future, but nothing concrete has been announced so far.
If you do live in Japan, here’s the requirements to take part in the field tests:
- Google/Gmail e-mail address
- Ingress username (optional)
- iPhone 5 or higher
- Android 4.3 or higher
Finally, there’s a catch: registrating does not guarantee you will take part in the field tests, as participants will be selected via lottery. We can assume field tests for other countries will use a similar system.
