Pokémon Comaster
Today, Pokémon Comaster (on smartphones) got a major update in Japan, adding some new Pokémon figures in the Trevo shop. Here’s what was added:
- EX rarity: 0.5% chance of getting Mewtwo;
- R rarity: 1.5% chance of getting Lapras;
- Common rarity: Staraptor, and Weezing.
Also, drop rate for common rare figure dropped to 6% (rather than 7.16% before the update).
But that’s not all: a special event called the Rank Match Festa started today, and runs until May 9th. If you participate, you get a reward for each rank you get:
- Ranks 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13: and 14 = 10 diamonds
- Rank 8 = 50 diamonds
- Ranks 11, and 15 = special Trevo Ticket
- Rank 5 = EX rarity Feraligatr figure

Pokémon Jukebox
Today, it was announced that Pokémon Jukebox (an app available on Android) would be discontinued on June 30th. Here’s the schedule:
- May 31st: you will no longer be able to purchase new music within the app (or download the daily free track), app removed from the Play Store;
- June 30th: you will no longer be able to redownload previously purchased tracks.

Battle competition
Heads up for players in Japan: the Japan Championships 2016 battle competiton has started, and battles will run until May 2nd. It allows players to try and get a chance to enter the Pokémon World Championships. Here’s the rules:
- Battles: Double Battles
- Rules: current VGC rules
- Legendary Pokémon allowed: 2 of the following… Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom,
- Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde
- Registration: from April 4th to April 28th
- Battles: from April 28th to May 1st
- Reward: all participants get Landorus based on Hyadain’s Landorus (one of the host of Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru, a Pokémon variety show airing every Sunday on TV Tokyo).
