The latest video for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is now live, and it focuses on Paper Abilities. Those are special abilities Mario obtain at specific points throughout the game, and which allow him to reach previously unreachable areas, uncover various secrets and hidden passages, and even fly.

Here’s the video:

The Paper Abilities are obtained from mysterious Black Chests, and they’re actually curses put on you by a mysterious being. The abilities are as follows:

Plane Mode: allows Mario to turn into a paper plane and glide over gaps;
Paper Mode: allows Mario to turn side ways, and squeeze through narrow passages;
Tube Mode: allows Mario to roll himself into a tube and roll down narrow gaps;
Boat Mode: allows Mario to turn into a paper boat and glide on water.
