Moonstone Island – Ver. ??? (Festivals Update)

  • Release date: September 30th 2024 (North America, Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • 4 new spirits – These new babies are Psychic, Dark, Electric, and Ice type
  • 3 new seasonal events – The Spirit Spring Festival, the Lunar Festival, and a Cooking Festival
  • New “Community Chest” in Rowan’s shop – You can find free stuff and gifts in here!
  • New “token of affection” item – A reward from the festivals that gives you relationship points with an NPC of your choosing
  • New spirit barn exteriors – For the first time EVER!
  • Updated furniture placement system to allow items to sit more snugly against walls – Because it’s annoying when decor looks all weirdy
  • New NPC dialogue – Many words, much like these ones, all written by ME
  • New decorations
    • Farm-Style Spirit Barn Exterior
    • Spirit Barn Portal
    • Full Moon Statue
    • Ancient Spirit Statue
    • Fireworks Rug
    • Food Festival Trophy
    • Pile of Leaves
    • Mushroom Stool
    • Mushroom Table
  • Additional notes: none
  • Source: Raw Fury (Steam)

Moonstone Island – Ver. ??? (Cooking Update)

  • Release date: July 31st 2024 (North America, Europe) / August 1st 2024 (Japan)
  • Patch notes:
New Content
  • The ability to COOK!
  • New crafting stations (prep table, stove, recipe book)
  • Dozens of meals with unique effects
  • New cooking questline (given by Ossono on Spring 16 or a few days after updating for in-progress games)
  • New LORE
  • New cooking-themed decorations
  • Four new spirits: Eleplant (water), Jelbell (psychic), Grampus (ice), and Fangface (dark)
  • New NPC likes/dislikes (spoiler: they’re all meals)
Bugfixes
  • Did you use a broom/fishing rod/warp whistle near a shrine or a warpstone, and accidentally activate it instead of using the item? Not any more! We fixed it
  • Used the correct font for the “purchased” text in other languages
  • You can no longer feed Spirits old boots. Also, don’t do that! Ew!
  • Increased the size of the white circle shown when activating the Ando tree, because you cool dudes with ultra-wide monitors weren’t getting the full effect
  • Magic Man’s house was appearing underneath the swimming pool. He’s mysterious and strange, but not THAT mysterious and strange, so we changed that
  • You can no longer feed Spirits multiple stat reset potions to cause them to gain points somehow. I’m continually impressed by all these cheats but we must fix them, sorry
  • You can no longer feed fish to Spirits in battles. Apparently Fishbo assumed it was a mean intimidation tactic and he got really upset
  • Tobin bought some glow-in-the-dark paint online, and now the fishing bobber lights up at night for easier fishing
  • Restored Magic Man’s missing dialogues – he’s meant to say stuff after you pick up the temple seals!
  • You can no longer steal Zed’s museum of Spirit resources. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU INVENTED STEALING ON A PEACEFUL ISLAND. You monsters.
  • You can’t place furniture in other people’s houses and workplaces any more. I mean, I know Quill’s taste in decor is very “guy who owns a single armchair and a PlayStation 5”, but he has to learn that on his own, k?

And finally, the Delicious Layer Cake, also known as the Chef’s Kiss DLC, is live today. It’s a paid DLC, but it’s decor only!

As a reminder of what it includes:

  • Bakery House Skin
  • Donut Rug
  • Cloche
  • Pot Rack
  • Marble Counter
  • Marble Counter with Sink
