Official website

Following yesterday’s leaks, mixi has made an official announcement regarding their Monster Strike game on Nintendo 3DS. First, they confirmed that the game was indeed coming out on December 17th in Japan, where it will cost 4 500 Yen (retail and digital, without taxes).

You get to play as Homura Ren, who will fight the monsters that have started to appear in town, along with his friends. Players will find the monsters from the smartphone game, but also some new ones exclusive to this Nintendo 3DS title.

mixi confirms that Monster Strike will be playable in multiplayer, via local wireless (up to 4 players). StreetPass will also be supported, though we don’t know what it will do for now.

We also know what goodies fans who buy the game at launch will get:

  • 1 Rainbow Medal (an item that allows you to catch a rare monster);
  • 1 item that allows you to evolve one of your monsters;
  • 1 Power Up X, 1 Speed Up X and 1 Hit Point Up X: items that allows you to get stronger monsters if used during synthesis.
  • 5 sets of stickers (retail only)
  • 1 mascot plug (which goes in the earphone jack of your smartphone)
