On Sunday, Capcom revealed a brand new game for the Monster Hunter series called “Monster Hunter X“. In this one, the main village is called Verna Village, but there’s also several villages from previous entries (such as Yukumo Village from Monster Hunter Portable 3rd).
The game will feature brand new monsters, as well as creatures said to be from primeval times. And unlike pretty much all the other Monster Hunter games in the past, Monster Hunter X has 4 flagship monsters (each with their own characteristics and habits).
The main attraction of Monster Hunter X is the special moves and actions, which are quite flashy:
– Hunting Maneuvers: special moves (powerful attacks, self-buffs or healing)
– Hunting Style: stylish actions that can be performed during battles, letting players hunt with their own, personal style.

On the official website, the Producer of Monster Hunter X posted a message for the fans.
He starts by saying that Monster Hunter X is a non-numbered entry in the Monster Hunter series. In 2015, the Monster Hunter series celebrates its 11th anniversary, and it’s the start of a new decade for it. Therefore, they wanted to make something a bit different. The keywords for Monster Hunter X are:
“Hunting x Exhilaration x Style x Monsters”
Finally, he explains that with Monster Hunter X, they’re going to try something new and challenging, built on the solid foundations of previous entries.
