Monster Hunter Stories: Otomon showcase videos (Nargacuga)

On July 15th, Capcom started uploading videos for the various Otomon (partner monsters) in Monster Hunter Stories. Basically, they showcase:

  • the monster itself
  • its Ride Action (action you can perform in the fields, such as being able to jump across gaps, swimming, breaking rocks, and more)
  • its Active Skill (a special skill it can use in battle)
  • its Kizuna Move (special move you can pull off during battle, when you’re riding the monster).

Since Capcom seem to be sharing those on a regular basis, we’ve created this post, in order to gather all the short videos. We will update it regularly, as new videos are shared by Capcom!

July 24th

  • Name: Nargacuga
  • Riding Action: Stealth Move (allows you to become invisible, and sneak past enemies)
  • Active Skill: Blade Sharpening
  • Kizuna Move: Spiral Edge

July 23rd

  • Name: Tigrex
  • Riding Action: Rush (allows you to dash while in the field)
  • Active Skill: Wild Rush (the Tirgrex dashes towards an enemy, and then strikes it)
  • Kizuna Move: Tiger Impact

July 22nd

  • Name: Khezu
  • Riding Action: Howl (makes enemies run away)
  • Active Skill: Howl (makes opponents fall in battle)
  • Kizuna Move: Furu/Full Spark

July 21st

  • Name: Rathian
  • Riding Skill: Nest Knowledge (an ability that helps with finding nests with eggs to collect)
  • Active Skill: Poison Spike (poisons the enemy)
  • Kizuna Move: Flame Saber

July 20th

  • Name: Aptonoth
  • Riding Skill: Plant Knowledge (an ability that helps with collecting herbs)
  • Active Skill: gets details on enemy monsters
  • Kizuna Move: Slipping Dive

July 19th

  • Name: Qurupeco
  • Riding Skill: Call (attracts monsters)
  • Active Skill: Song of Healing (heals the party)
  • Kizuna Move: Peco Bomb Rain

July 18th

  • Name: Lagiacrus
  • Riding Skill: Move On Water / Swim
  • Active Skill: Electric Breath
  • Kizuna Move: King’s Storm

July 17th

  • Name: Brachydios
  • Riding Skill: Super Rock Smash
  • Kizuna Move: Cross Hi-Volt

July 16th

  • Name: Lagombi
  • Ride Action: Rock Smash
  • Kizuna Move: Grind Spin

July 15th

  • Name: Zinogre
  • Ride Action: Jump
  • Kizuna Move: Cross Hi-Volt
