Mario Tennis Aces: special Charging Stand in Japan, latest video

Later today, the very first online tournament for Mario Tennis Aces will go live. It’s the pre-launch tournament, and the equivalent of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire and ARMS Global Testpunch (you can find more details about it on this page). It’s the perfect occasion for players who are not quite sure whether Mario Tennis Aces is a game for them to try it out before launch… and for fans to get an early taste of it!

In Japan, Nintendo has prepared a little present for 100 players who will take part in this pre-launch online tournament: a special Mario Tennis Aces branded charging stand (the same one that was announced a couple of weeks ago, and launching on July 13th worldwide).

Here’s what it looks like:

The winners will be contacted via email (the address used for the Nintendo Account, to be precise) by June 11th. They will then have to “buy” the stand on the My Nintendo Store, for free of course (it’s a present after all). Whether or not this means that the stand will also be available for purchase there (for fans who were not selected) remains to be seen.

If you live outside Japan, there’s no point in you trying to join the Japanese pre-launch online tournament: the My Nintendo Store only ships to addresses within Japan!

Finally, here’s the latest video clip for the game, introducing Yoshi:

Mario Tennis Aces (Switch) comes out on June 22nd, worldwide.
