Level-5 files for Megaton-Kyuu Musashi trademark in Japan

Level-5 may be swimming in money thanks to the Youkai Watch franchise, the company isn’t giving up on its other projects. Indeed, Level-5 is planning to launch another big cross-media franchise this year (said to be even bigger than Youkai Watch), though we’re still waiting on details for some of the games announced during the Level-5 Vision conference in 2013 (like Layton 7).

And today, it was discovered that Level-5 recently filed for the “Megaton-Kyuu Musashi” (Megaton-class Musashi in English) trademark in Japan. For those who don’t know, Musashi is the name of a Japanese battleship from the Yamato-class, used during World War II. As for Megaton-Kyuu (Megaton-class), it’s usually used for bombs, not ships.

Is this trademark for a new game or an already existing one? Hard to know for now, but no doubt Level-5 should make an announcement in the upcoming months.
