  • Removed sweat from Stinger’s face graphic in Episode 1
  • Added reaction mark to Undine at the start of Episode 1
  • Removed some of Treffy’s voice lines and added reaction marks in Episode 1
  • Added reaction marks to Valklear and Maread’s conversation in Episode 2
  • Added sound effect to Gram receiving a letter in Episode 3
  • Adjusted Blondie’s movement speed in Episode 3
  • Added screen effect to minecart scene in Episode 5
  • Extended BGM fade-out time in Episode 6
  • Added BGM fade-out at the beginning of Episode 6
  • Adjusted fade-out after boss battle in Episode 6

  • Dillon was displayed as costing 30 coins but could be purchased for 20
  • “V for Victory (Cherry)” was listed as “Assist” instead of “Dance” in the right-hand list

■ Library

  • Selection UI in the “Gallery” section was lower than intended
  • Changed icon for “Promo Art” in the “Illustrations” section

■ Other Image Issues

  • Misaligned number graphics when coin count was between: 200–299, 500–599, or 800–899
  • White border around icon shown after clearing Episode 4

■ Other Adjustments

  • Adjusted sync issues in the ending video and updated Treffy’s design
  • Adjusted images and visual effects related to Kokoro Clover SUN
  • Replaced the “anger” reaction mark used in scenarios
  • Updated illustration for Tentaquina (human form)
  • Updated illustration for Phantom Thief Black Cherry (kimono version)
  • In the Library’s “Promo Art” section, removed original characters and pre-release artwork, and added a new 2nd anniversary illustration

Bugs affecting gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where the 2nd page of “Action Settings” for “Cards” was treated as the 4th page.
Fixes
  • Corrected an issue where the title logo on the screen before and after commercials was displayed in Japanese even when set to English.
  • Fixed an image error for the cheer “Valx”.
  • Fixed scenes in “Episode 1” and “Episode 3” where the cursor was hidden.
Adjustments
  • Adjusted the “Next Episode Preview” so that it only displays after clearing Episode 12.
  • Made some minor image adjustments.

KOKORO CLOVER Season 1 – Ver. 4.0

Major Changes
  • We have changed the logo design.
    • The version in the top left corner of the title screen has been changed to “Ver.4.0”. Please confirm after starting the game.
  • Upon the first startup after the update, you will transition to an unlock information scene before the title screen.
  • The overall game UI has been updated.
  • The opening video has been updated.
  • The commercial video has been updated.

Changes Related to Game Settings
  • You can now select “Story Settings” and “Action Settings” before each episode or stage.
  • A “No Setting” option has been added to the “Time” setting in “Story Settings”.
  • The “When Defeated in Battle” option has been removed from “Story Settings”. Now, when your HP reaches 0 in a scenario, you can choose to skip.
  • The “Time” and “Subtitle” settings will now be displayed in the upper right corner of “Story Mode”.
  • You can now check the treasure chest acquisition status of the relevant stage when selecting a stage in “Story Mode” and “Adventure Mode”.
  • The time will be displayed in the upper left during stages and boss battles in “Story Mode”.
  • The skipping mechanism in “Story Mode” has been changed as follows:
    • Before: Skipping was displayed after clearing episodes.
    • After: Skipping is displayed when pressing the “Select Button (N key)”. (Skipping is possible even for episodes that have not been cleared)
  • Minigames can now be skipped.
  • Clear trophies (silver) will now be displayed for each Boss Rush in “Boss Rush Mode”.
    • *To display the trophies (silver), you need to clear each Boss Rush again. The trophies (gold) for “Boss Rush ALL”, which are also displayed on the HOME screen, will be retained.
Changes to Story Mode Presentation
  • We have changed the conversation SE to 4 patterns.
  • Some transformation anime cuts for Treffy in the following episodes have been partially omitted or removed:
    • “Episode 1”, “Episode 2”, “Episode 4”
    • “Episode 6” during the boss battle
  • A maid Treffy illustration cut-in has been added to “Episode 3”.
  • A Treffy transformation anime cut has been added before the boss battle in “Episode 6”.
  • Boss cut-ins have been added after the boss transformations in the following episodes:
    • “Episode 1”
    • “Episode 2”
    • “Episode 3”
    • “Episode 6”
    • “Episode 10”
    • “Episode 11”
  • An avant-scene has been added to the beginning of “Episode 9”.
  • After clearing “Episode 12”, a promotional image for the upcoming new work “Cocoro Clover SUN” has been added.
  • Some battle presentations have been removed.
Changes Related to Stage Actions
  • The timing of when “Shining Treffy” becomes controllable has been changed.
    • Before: After clearing Episode 6
    • After: Before the boss battle in Episode 6
  • The special move presentation for the following characters has been partially changed or omitted:
    • Treffy
    • Shining Treffy
  • The specifications for “Support” have been changed as follows:
    • Before: Activated at 50% and 100% of the special move gauge
    • After: Activated manually with the initial setting “L (LB)” button. Recovers assist cost.
  • The specifications for “Special Moves” have been changed as follows:
    • Before: Activated with the “L” button when the special move gauge is MAX
    • After: Activated with the “L” + “R” buttons when the special move gauge is MAX during boss battles. Deals 50 damage to the boss. (Cannot be activated in normal stages)
  • A boss battle has been added to the tutorial. An explanation of special moves will occur.
  • An HP bar has been added to the UI during boss battles.
  • All bosses’ HP and durability have been adjusted.
  • The “WEAK icon” will now always be displayed when there is a favorable attribute match during boss battles.
  • The following bosses have been adjusted so they do not move to the left side:
    • The Vulcander
    • Valxcyx
Addition of English Translations
  • English translations have been added to the following:
    • Game logo
    • Staff credits displayed at the end of the story and in the option mode
    • Character names in boss cut-ins at the start of boss battles

Various minor bug fixes and adjustments have also been made.

In order to prevent crashes (reduce the game’s capacity), the “Assists” of Salamander and boss characters have been changed so that they no longer attack and follow you from behind.
(Only the assists that were offensive will be changed. (Only the assists that had aggressiveness will be changed. There will be no change to Valx Vulcan and Skol.)

How to download updates for KOKORO CLOVER Season 1 on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for KOKORO CLOVER Season 1, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
