Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition announced, out this Spring worldwide
During its first year, the Nintendo Switch did get quite a lot of Warriors games: Fire Emblem Warriors of course, but also Dynasty Warriors 8 Emoire, Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, and One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition. And it’s just the beginning: 2018 is poised to have its fair share of Warriors games announced (ports or new games), starting with Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition!
As the name implies, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition includes pretty much all the content from the two versions of the game (Hyrule Warriors on Wii U, and Hyrule Warriors Legends on Nintendo 3DS), with:
- every single map and mission from both versions
- 29 playable characters
- all DLC for both versions included right from the get go
- new outfits for Link and Zelda, based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The game will run in 1080p when playing on the TV, and most definitely 720p when in Handheld on Tabletop Mode. You will also be able to play in local co-op with a friend, using a single Joy-Con each.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition (Switch) comes out on March 22nd in Japan, and this Spring in Europe and North America. Based on the release pattern of the previous Warriors games using Nintendo IPs, we can safely expect this one to land sometime in April! The Upcoming Games page has been updated.
