Hook: Complete Edition to reel in puzzle games fans on Switch this week
Ultimate Games has just announced its latest release on Nintendo Switch: Hook: Complete Edition. It’s a collection of two puzzles games (Hook and Hook 2), originally developed by Maciej Targoni and ported by Ultimate Games. It will launch on April 10th in Europe and North America for 3.99€ / $3.99.
About Hook 1:
Hook – A minimalist puzzle game where your goal is to remove all hooks from the board using intuitive mechanics. No timers, no scores—just pure, stress-free gameplay complemented by a calming ambient soundtrack.
About Hook 2:
Hook 2 – Expands the challenge into an extra dimension, introducing new mechanics while maintaining the same meditative experience. No text, no distractions—just immersive, minimalist puzzles.
Here’s some further details and some screenshots:
Hook: Complete Edition includes two games – Hook and Hook 2. The concept behind Hook is based on simple and intuitive mechanics that aim to remove hooks in the right order. The mechanics used promote the exercise of problem-solving skills. The game’s premise is easy to understand, but individual levels require more thought. Hook 2 is based on similar principles, which have been enriched with an additional dimension and new mechanics.
The visuals in Hook: Complete Edition features a minimalist style and subdued color scheme, which promotes concentration attention. Hook provides a relaxing atmosphere, and the player does not have to reckon with time pressure. The mood is also enhanced by calm ambient music.
