***Genei Ibun Roku #FEGenei Ibun Roku #FE is the name of the Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem cross-over project announced back in January 2013, during a Nintendo Direct. Nintendo and Atlus both remained pretty silent about the game, with the exception of E3 where it was showcased at great length during the Nintendo Treehouse Live.

And today, out of the blue, Nintendo has announced the release date of Genei Ibun Roku #FE in Japan: December 26th! What’s more, several editions were also revealed:

Regular edition (7 236 Yen + taxes)

  • the game
  • a set of costumes as pre-order bonus. The costumes are based on other titles by Atlus: Walter (from Shin Megami Tensei IV), the Protagonist (from Devil Survivor 2), Rei (from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth), and the Princess class (from Etrian Odyssey III: The drowned City).

Fortissimo edition (9 698 Yen + taxes)

  • the game
  • premium packaging, with an illustration by toi8 (the chara-designer)
  • a soundtrack CD, with 6 tracks (including “Reincarnation”, by Yoshino Nanjo)
  • an artbook
  • the set of pre-order costumes (see above for more details)
  • some additional costumes (Fashion Show set, and two Swimsuit sets for male and female characters)
  • special flyer to get priority access to tickets for the Genei Ibun Roku #FE Premium Live in May (see below for more details)

Wii U Genei Ibun Roku #FE Fortissimo Edition Set (40 824 Yen + taxes)

  • a Premium Wii U set (Black)
  • all the contents from the Fortissimo edition
  • 6 character lyrics cards
  • two sheets of stickers
  • a download card for 3 additional Support Quests

Apparently, Nintendo and Atlus are finally ready to talk about the game more: starting next month, we will be getting regular updates with character reveals, gameplay details, videos, and more via Famitsu, the official website and more.

Finally, it was announced that a Genei Ibun Roku #FE Premium Live concert would take place on May 15th in Japan. Very little details are available at the moment, but we do know that players who purchase either the Fortissimo Edition or the Fortissimo Edition Wii U bundle will get early access to tickets.

With how important music is in Genei Ibun Roku #FE, it’s not all that surprising that it would get an actual concert! We should be getting more details about this concert in the upcoming months.

Genei Ibun Roku #FE (Wii U) comes out on December 26th in Japan, and next year in Europe and North America.
