FUSER: two more tracks releasing as (paid) DLC this week

Harmonix have announced that two more tracks will be released as DLC for FUSER this Thursday (July 22nd). Unfortunately, there’s no freebies this week: both tracks will cost $1.99 (standard price for DLC tracks).

The two DLC tracks releasing this week are:

“Loop Pack 07” by Faint Shadow

“Loop Pack 07” by Faint Shadow delivers more ethereal sounds to the FUSER Festival! The simple synth sounds from the instrument and vocal discs perfectly pair with the spartan nature of the drum disc. Handclaps and delicate percussive hits from the drum disc allow for plenty of space in the arrangement for the other synth sounds to take shine!
On the bass disc, there is a gritty electrified bass synth which sets the stage for a slightly mellow synth riff on the lead instrument disc. The lightest touch comes from the lead vocal disc where yet another gentle synthesizer dances around.

“Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves

“Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves hails from the band’s 1983 debut album. It was originally intended to be performed as a ballad, but the lead singer Katrina Leskanich performed it as a more upbeat tune creating the track known and loved around the world today. This song was well received worldwide holding a top 10 spot on the Billboard US Top 40, as well as top ten placement on charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. This is one of the band’s most popular and successful songs, earning a Platinum certification in their native England.
This iconic song contains optimistic lyrics delivered atop an uplifting arrangement. The classic drum pattern maintains a double-time feel throughout the song, making the pace feel quick despite the track sitting at only 109 BPM. The bass and lead guitar move in near lockstep with very simple but instantly recognizable riffs. The lead instrument disc also delivers the trademark Katrina and the Waves horns that help lift the mood of the entire song. The lead instrument disc contains the famous lyrics to this song as well as natural handclaps recorded and included in the second half of the loop, making this disc a strong contender for your double vocal mixes!
