Fire Emblem Heroes: over 5 million downloads on Android, +10 millions with iOS

Fire Emblem Heroes was launched over a year ago, and so far, it seems to be the most successful mobile game from Nintendo. Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell without concrete data, that Nintendo isn’t willing to share unfortunately. That leaves us with some incomplete and inaccurate data points, such as the number of downloads on Android (the App Store does not provide it).

And earlier this week, a new milestone was reached on Android: the game has now been downloaded over 5 million times on that platform alone (to be precise, it’s between 5 million and 10 million times). That means the game has been downloaded at the very least 10 million times worldwide, if you add iOS downloads.

But since iOS is a bigger platform than Android, the total number of downloads is most likely closer to 15 millions than 10 million, though there’s no way to know for sure (unless Nintendo finally decides to share some proper download numbers).

The amusing thing is that right now, Fire Emblem Heroes is still the mobile game with the least downloads on Android, as even Miitomo has already reached 10 millions a few months ago:

  • Miitomo: 10 million downloads
  • Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp: 10 million downloads
  • Super Mario Run: 50 million downloads

However, there’s no doubt Fire Emblem Heroes is the game with the most “active” players of the bunch. The amount of new content and various events every week is on a completely different scale than Nintendo’s other mobile outings, so it’s no wonder!
