Europe: video games sales for Week 41 (UK) / Week 40 (France), more
Here’s the latest European video games sales charts, with:
United Kingdom – Video Games Sales (Week 41)
During Week 41, quite a lot of games came out in the United Kingdom, but only one was on a Nintendo platform: Skylanders Imaginators, which landed at #33. Unfortunately, the only version it managed to outsell is the one on PlayStation 3…
It’s not the only Wii U game in the Top 40, as Paper Mario: Color Splash is ranked #31 (making it the best-selling title on the platform). We expected a major drop this week, and it’s exactly what happened: the game lost 23 places at once. Then again, the high number of new releases this week did make things worse.
On Nintendo 3DS, the only game left is Super Mario Bros. 2. It’s barely hanging in the Top 40 (it’s ranked #39), after losing 14 places at once. It will most likely go back up next week, the drop this week seems mostly due to the many new releases in the Top 40.

France – Video Games Sales (Week 40)
In France, Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U) and Mario Party: Star Rush (Nintendo 3DS) came out during Week 40, and they both made it to the top of their respective platform. Unfortunately, they didn’t sell enough to make it to the All-Format Top 5…

Switzerland – Video Games Sales (Week 40)
In Switzerland, Paper Mario: Color Splash had a great debut: it landed at #3 during its launch week, just below Mafia III on PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, it’s the only other game on a Nintendo platform in the Top 20 (alongside Minecraft: which is a multiplatform title).

Australia/New Zealand Video Games Sales (Week 41)
In Australia and New Zealand, the only game on Nintendo platforms in the Top 10 is Minecraft (a multi-platform title). On Wii U, the best-seller is Paper Mario: Color Splash, while on Nintendo 3DS, it’s Yo-kai Watch that dominates sales.
