United Kingdom video games sales (Week 38)
In the United Kingdom, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past dropped hard during its second week (from #11 to #33 in one week). It will most likely be gone from the Top 40 altogether by the next week…
Most of the Nintendo 3DS games in the Top 40 are still holding pretty well:
- New Super Mario Bros. 2 is #22 (+1 place), and back as the top-selling Nintendo 3DS game;
- Pokémon Omega Ruby is #28 (- 4 places). It’s the only remaining Pokémon game in the Top 40;
- Tomodachi Life is #29 (+ 7 places);
The best-selling game on Wii U is still Minecraft: Wii U Edition, but unfortunately, it didn’t sell enough copies to make it in the Top 40.

France video games sales (Week 37)
In France, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is off to a great start: it landed at #3, just below other popular releases. It’s not clear how long it will remain in the Top 5, however… Naturally, it’s the new best-seller on Nintendo 3DS, with Yo-kai Watch relegated to #2. On Wii U, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics is still dominating sales.
