[E3 2016] Ever Oasis revealed for the 3DS (new IP, ARPG, Grezzo), trailer, screens, artworks

For Day 2 of Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3, Nintendo promised that an Action-Adventure RPG from a new IP would be revealed today, for the Nintendo 3DS.

That game is Ever Oasis, which is developed by Grezzo: a studio Zelda fans should be pretty familiar with, as they made The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora’s Mask 3D, but also the DSi port of The Legend of Zelda: Four Sword. They also worked on of the paid games for the StreetPass Mii Plaza: StreetPass Garden. The Producer and Director is one Koichi Ishii, of Secret of Mana fame… certainly not a nobody!

In this game, you get to play as a Seedling, whose mission is to build a properous oasis with your partner Isuna. To complete that mission, you have to ally with members of other tribes, in order to fight against the Chaos. Ever Oasis is an Action-RPG, which means battles are in real time. You can bring two other characters with you, and you can switch at any time.

To build the oasis, you need materials (found in caves in dungeons), which can be sold for dewadems. Those dewadens are then used to grow new shops, and new gear. The materials can also be used to synthesize equipment and items at your threehouse. You can earn dewadens when shops sell their ware and build new Bloom Booths.

By completing missions, you can recruit new villagers: not only do they come with their own shops, abilities and gear, but you can also bring them on your expeditions. But don’t expect multiplayer: Ever Oasis is a Single Player game.
