Dokapon! Sword of Fury – Ver. 1.0.4

  • Release date: March 28th 2025
  • Patch notes:
  • Added English language and English voiceover: English language is available if your console is set to English, and you can now switch the voice language in the settings.
  • Settings for sound effects, BGM, and voices have been changed so that they are reflected on an individual basis when playing online.
    • Do note that if you load save data created before this update was released by selecting Continue, some of the Settings will be reverted to their default state.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue where pressing the Y button during command selection in battle also triggered fast-forward; fast-forward will no longer occur.
    • Fixed a bug causing Settings changed on the Title Screen not to be applied when restarting the game.
    • Fixed an issue where, in the Pionnier, players could occasionally encounter unconfigured monsters or experience progression blocks during monster encounters.
    • Fixed an issue where adjusting the BGM volume in settings did not affect the movies.
    • Fixed incorrect description on the Title Screen.

  • Progression bug – Boss: Fixed a bug that may cause an error when the scenario boss wakes up.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug causing the game to become unresponsive when selection a second or subsequent opponent in the Arena after defeating Zenith.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug preventing subsequent battle to proceed normally if Wiwi uses their special skill to leave the battle after defeating Zenith.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug that may cause the game to freeze if defense magic is used against Telepozan and Bunshinzan in village boss fights.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug that may cause the game to freeze when trying to steal equipment after a battle between マホケスA and マホミラー.
  • Progression bug – Assets: Fixed a bug that causes the game to freeze when the amount of money held drops below -100 million G or the total amount of treasure exceeds a certain value.
  • Progression bug – Items: Fixed a bug causing the player to get stuck on the item discard screen when the CPU uses a Blackmail on them.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug causing the player to get stuch on the item discard screen when obtaining an item by begging for the life of a monster while Intoxicated.
  • Progression bug – Battle: Fixed a bug causing a monster controlled by an Intoxicated player to become uncontrollable in battle.
  • Progression bug – Weapon Shop: Fixed a bug causing the game to freeze when trying to purchase equipment at the Weapon Shop while stats are lowered.
  • Bug – Travelling merchant: fixed a bug causing defensive magic in your possession to turn into a different item when selling equipment to the travelling merchant.
  • Bug – Devilman: Fixed a bug causing speed and magic values to be reversed when transformed.
  • Bug – Devilman: Fixed a bug causing the bank to remain open when Stores Close is used.
  • Progression bug – Controller: Fixed a bug blocking progress when playing with multiple controllers, and a controller is disconnected at a specific time, even if said controller is reconnected.

Dokapon! Sword of Fury – Ver. 1.0.2

  • Release date: October 4th 2024 (Japan)
  • Patch notes:
  • Speed adjustment: it’s now possible to activate double speed in various scenes, though only in offline play.
  • Removed the “Ready” button from group matchmaking. Your status will automatically turn to “Ready” when you enter a lobby.
  • Bug fixes
    • Display bug – Travelling merchant: when you cannot purchase an item due to insufficient funds, the text colour does not turn red.
    • Display bug – Battles: when playing against other players, a bug allows the cursor to move immediately after choosing “Money” or “Status” when stealing.
    • Display bug – Battles: in rare cases, you could not change your name when trying to “Steal” during a game against other players.
    • Progression bug – Casino: when a player who is last and has a bat attached to them selects “Shuffle” in the Sky Castle Casino (which allows them to bet their money) and loses the game, the game freezes while trying to leave the casino.
    • Bug – Item Shop – Appraisal: when having treasure appraised at the item shop, if you choose “No” when asked whether you’d like to hear the appraisal results, your money is taken but no appraisal is performed.
    • Display bug – Name Change – COM: when the name is changed to COM, an extra blank space is added.
    • Bug – Waltz – Voice: a bug causes the voice line for Waltz’s normal attacks not to play during battle.
    • Bug – Shovel – Voice: the voice line for Shovel’s special skill is different from the PlayStation version.
    • Display bug – Devilman – Armor: when transforming into Devilman, the graphics of the Bloody Shield are the same as those of the Demon Shield.
    • Bug – Matchmaking – Error: when playing online, if the player who created a group puts the console in sleep mode and disconnects when members of the group have gathered and the turn selection screen is displayed, a bug will occur, making it impossible to proceed if the players tryies to gather players online again.
    • Bug – Matchmaking – Error: when playing online, if the members of a group gather and proceed to the turn selection screen while another player is checking the secret bonus or selecting “Ready”, the game cannot progress.

How to download updates for Dokapon! Sword of Fury for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Dokapon! Sword of Fury, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
