Darksiders: Warmastered Edition delayed on Wii U (inc. digital version),

Last month, THQ Nordic announced that the retail version of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition on Wii U was further delayed to an unspecified date, and that only the digital version (on the Nintendo eShop) would come out on November 22nd (which already was a delay).

And it turns out that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will not be released on November 22nd, period (digital or retail). Unfortunately, THQ Nordic doesn’t give a new release date, or even a release window, so we don’t even know if Wii U players will be able to get this remaster before 2017. As such, we have updated our Upcoming Releases page!

Also, THQ Nordic shared a short teaser video for the game earlier this week:

They also shared a few screenshots, which are quite obviously not from the Wii U version (they were originally 4k screenshots, after all):

Finally, here’s a reminder about the main features of this remaster of the very first Darksiders:

  • Native 1080p rendering resolution
  • Doubled all the texture resolutions
  • Rendering improvements and rework
  • Better shadow rendering quality
  • Post processing effects
  • 30FPS on Wii U (in moment to moment gameplay)

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (Wii U) will be released at a later date.
