Today, Playtonic Games shared a teaser trailer for the 64-Bit Tonic mode for Yooka-Laylee:

This mode will be added to the game via a free update soon. To activate it, you have to go and talk to Vendi. Once activated, the frame rate is capped, lighting, shadows and shader is limited, and a nifty scanline effect is applied.

The update is currently in QA testing. It will most likely not be released simultaneously on all paltforms.
