[Brief] Nintendo: at least one Nintendo Direct this year, mobile game news tomorrow

Earlier today, Nintendo released its financial results for the first half of the current fiscal year (2015-16), and during the press conference, Tatsumi Kimishima (President) gave some details about Nintendo’s strategy. Both “announcements” were expected, but they’re bound to reassure fans who were growing restless due to Nintendo’s silence.

The announcements are:

• Nintendo Direct will continue, with at least one scheduled for later this year. Back in September, Nintendo already confirmed that there would be more Nintendo Diect presentations in the future, but Tatsumi Kimishima felt it was necessary to reiterate. That being said, we didn’t know if there would be one this year, or if we would have to wait until 2016.
  Also, the president of Nintendo also announced that Nintendo Direct would get a new format next year, though he didn’t give any details about that.
• Mobile game: Tatsumi Kimishima confirmed that more details about Nintendo’s mobile games (co-developed with DeNA) would be revealed tomorrow during the usual meeting with investors. Unfortunately, we don’t know if the company will also talk about its membership service or not, though the two are bound to be closely related.
