Bloodstained: two new enemies revealed, Michiru Yamane interview

On Friday, the latest Kickstarter update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was posted. In this one, we get to see not one, but two new enemies, and we even get an interview of the legendary Michiru Yamane (composer).

Here’s the two new enemies introduced in this update by Koji Igarashi himself:

  • Aello: this flying harpy keeps its distance from the player. Our original plan was to put her in the ship stage, where she would use physical and wind attacks;
  • Gieremund: a fast-moving, beast-type demon that attacks on all fours. Guarding against this enemy’s attacks will require quick reflexes.

Here’s some concept-art for those two new enemies:

You can also find some “footage” of the Aello and the Gieremund on the Kickstarter page itself!

As for the interview with Michiru Yamane, it was Koji Igarashi himself who conducted it. Check it out for yourself:

Finally, in the Kickstarter update, Koji Igarashi explains that this year, the team is going to work hard on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, but not just the game itself… there’s also the backer rewards!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night does not have a release date yet, other than a vague “2018”. It’s unlikely the game will be released on Wii U, but no Nintendo Switch version has been announced (so far).
