Australia: new Wii U Premium Pack (MK8 + Super Smash Bros. for Wii U), 2 new Nintendo Selects titles

As the Christmas season draws even nearer, publishers are still revealing their plans for what is most definitely the most important period of the year for video game sales, especially family focused-titles and consoles. On Nintendo’s side, this will be the Wii U’s very last Christmas, as the console will be discontinued soon in Japan, and there will be no more shipments in North America.

Today, Nintendo announced what is most definitely the very last Wii U Premium Pack for Australia and New Zealand. It includes not one, but two games:

  • Mario Kart 8 (pre-installed, but without the DLC)
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (download code)

This new Wii U Premium Pack costs AU $429.95, and is available… now. It’s not clear if this new bundle, clearly intended to clear out remaining units, will be made available in other regions (like Europe, only region where Nintendo hasn’t made a statement regarding shipments yet).

Here’s a trailer introducing this bundle:

But that’s not all: Nintendo also announced that two new titles would be added to the Nintendo Selects range (AU $49.95) in Australia and New Zealand, on Decembe 1st: Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Our Upcoming Releases page will be updated momentarily!
