Prelude Dark Pain is the first game from Quickfire Games, an indie studio from Seville (Spain), and it’s now live on Kickstarter. This is a Tactical RPG set in a dark fantasy world, and featuring over 20 playable characters. It’s slated for a late 2025 release.

To brings its vision to reality, Quickfire Games need 40,000€. The campaign appears to be off to a great start, with already 22,170 pledged in just a few hours. At this rate, it’s only a matter of hours before the base goal is reached, with the very first stretch goal to follow soon after (60,000€ for Bonus & Ranked Mode).
As part of the campaign, Selecta Play has revealed a Limited Edition. It includes the following:
- Full physical copy of the game (PS5, Xbox, or NSW)
- Original dark fantasy soundtrack
- Postcards featuring original concept art
- Art book chronicling the game’s development and design
- SteelBook case with exclusive artwork
- Collector’s Edition box
Early supporters can also secure a limited inlay, which is only available to backers.

Set in the war-torn world of Statera, Prelude Dark Pain casts players into the brutal path of Soren, a former blacksmith thrust into revolution against the tyrannical Order of the Ashen Crusade. The game’s bleak, oppressive atmosphere and deep strategic combat promise a dark fantasy experience unlike any other.
The land of Statera bleeds under the shadow of the Dark Pain. Enslaved by the fanatical Ashen Crusade, all hope lies in scattered flames. Assume the role of Soren, an ancient warrior, now blacksmith, turned reluctant hero, as he rallies allies like Tizon, Tammais, and Maya to confront the ancient evil that festers beyond the veil.
