[Brief] AC: amiibo Festival – Full website open, also retail-only in NA?

Animal CrossingAnimal Crossing: amiibo Festival comes out in less than two weeks in North America (on November 13th, one week before Europe and Japan!), and the official website is now open in North America: click here to check it out! There’s nothing really new in there, but if you’re interested in a new trailer and some gameplay clips, make sure to go check it.

However, there is one interesting tidbit: the pre-order page doesn’t mention digital pre-order for the game. The vast majority of first-party title can be pre-ordered via Nintendo.com two weeks before release, but for Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, only the bundle with the two amiibo figures and three amiibo cards is mentioned (the only version sold at retail).

One would think this simply means the game will be available on the Nintendo eShop on Day 1, but since the European eShop lists the game as a retail-only title, it may be that there simply won’t be a digital version anywhere.

Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival (Wii U) comes out on November 13th in North America, November 20th in Europe and November 21st in Japan.
