Who Is Emio? Nintendo teases mysterious horror game

When it comes to game announcements, Nintendo is usually pretty straightforward: most games are revealed during Nintendo Direct presentations, though a few of them are unveiled outside those presentations via a simple tweet and/or trailer (sometimes with an accompanying press release). But a teaser trailer is rarely how Nintendo chooses to first communicate about a new game, and yet, that’s exactly what the company did today with its “Who Is Emio?” teaser.

Unfortunately, that teaser trailer is all that we have for now, and it doesn’t show much at all.

Quite clearly, the game in question is a horror game, though it’s not clear if it’s from an existing series (Eternal Darkness? Project Zero/Fatal Frame?) or a brand new title. Also, we don’t really know when the full reveal will take place, or when the game will be released (though that’s obviously something we won’t know until the full reveal). And naturally, there’s no way to find out who is behind this game for now.
