- Fixed a collision issue softlocking players in the last purge of the level Dread Ascent
- Fixed an issue where the last purge of the level Dread Ascent would rarely not finish because of enemies being unavailable to kill
- Fixed an issue where lights on secret skulls would be hard to spot with the Bloom option turned off
- Fixed an issue where the weapon wheel on controllers would block the player’s view
- Fixed an issue with the Multi-Melta making it possible to have infinite ammo
- Fixed an issue where starting grenades would not be granted at the start of a level with the accessibility option “Give all weapons” turned on
- Fixed an issue with the Lord of change being able to target the player with them being out of sight

Main Features
HORDE MODE: We’ve added a free Horde Mode for all players. How long can you survive against the onslaught of heretics and daemons? NAVIGATION GUIDE: Even the Emperor’s finest sometimes get lost. We’ve added a new Navigation Guide that, when activated, shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
The guide appears for a few seconds by default, but can be toggled to always display by enabling Options > Gameplay > Toggle Navigation Guide. By default the Navigation Guide is bound to N on PC, Back on Xbox, the Touchpad on PlayStation, and to – on Nintendo Switch. NEW ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES: Horde Mode comes with three new Achievements/Trophies to unlock BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS: We’ve fixed numerous issues and made quality of life improvements – see full notes belowQoL Improvements
- Added a new Navigation Guide. This shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
- Added a new Option in Accessibility for “Chainsword Cutting Mode”. This can now be set to the following:
- Repeated Tap: repeatedly press the input to maintain cutting mode (default setting)
- Hold Input: hold down the input to maintain cutting mode
- No Input (Automatic): no input is needed to maintain cutting mode (after initiating the chainsword lunge)
- To celebrate our new Forges of Corruption DLC, we’ve added a new main menu background. This is available to all players, whether you own the DLC or not, and can be set in the Options menu (Accessibility > Main Menu Background)
- Added two new control schemes: Alternate Controller Layouts 6 and 7
- Made improvements to various screens and UI in the game
- Added a confirmation requirement when setting the Screen Mode in Options
- Improved Aura of Doom visual effects so they don’t obscure the screen as much

- Numerous text corrections and improvements in multiple languages
- Performance and stability improvements and crash fixes across multiple levels
Chapter 1
- Sector Imperialis: Fixed an issue where an enemy spawned in a wall, which made it difficult to get 100% enemy kills on this level
- Sector Imperialis: Fixed an issue where the player can end the final encounter without killing both Chaos Terminators
- Silent Martyrs: Fixed a collision issue in the Red Key room
- Forbidden Knowledge: Fixed an issue where the player can get stuck in a wall during the boss encounter
Chapter 2
- Canyon Magrails: Fixed an issue where a Screamer of Tzeentch would not pursue the player
- Sanctum Manufactorum: Fixed an issue where Ambulls could not enter part of the opening cave area
- Sanctum Manufactorum: Fixed various issues with the lift area leading to the final boss encounter, where the player could get stuck
- Heresy Lurks: Fixed an issue where a Plasmagun Cultist was not aware of the player
- Heresy Lurks: Fixed two issues with jump pads triggering when the player has not stepped on them
- Heresy Lurks: Fixed two issues where the player can get stuck in a wall during the boss encounter
- Heresy Lurks: Fixed an issue where the crusher sound could persist after loading a different save
Chapter 3
- Promethium Supply: Fixed an issue with an invisible wall preventing player movement
- Promethium Supply: Fixed an issue where inaccurate Servo Skull dialogue would be displayed when the Invulnerability accessibility option was enabled
- Promethium Supply: Fixed incorrect collision on various pipes
- Know No Fear: Fixed an issue where the blue beam connecting Tumulus Samael and other bosses could disappear
Enemies
- Decreased time it takes for Chaos Space Marine grenades to explode after being thrown
- The Great Unclean One’s bell attack no longer adds an incorrect highlight to nearby enemies
- The Great Unclean One will no longer infinitely spawn nurglings if left for long periods of time
- The correct death quote will now display when the player is killed by the Sorcerer in all circumstances
- Added a new death quote for when Chosen Champions kill the player, as the latter happens quite a lot (sorry)

Accessibility
- New cheat available : Unlock all weapons
- New cheat available : Infinite ammo
QOL
- Damage indicators are now stronger, and even more for high damage attacks
- Added a toggle to deactivate the red “PURGE” filter
- Reduced the opacity of the red “PURGE” filter
- Feedback improved when the player takes damage
- Lord of Change’s Pink Fire ability deals less damage
- The plasma gun inflicts less damage to the player when overcharging (praise the Omnissiah)
- Added additional loading hints
- Added an option to deactivate the slow motion triggered by the chainsword
- Added an option to deactivate the freeze frames caused by the dash
- Now displaying level stats (kill percentage, timer, secret discovery) in the pause menu
- FOV slider now available for consoles
- FPS are now capped in loading screens
- Added an option to disable the parallax effect for the Warp rifts
- Servo skull lines are now easier to read : they stay displayed for longer instead of “typing” slower
- Added an option for higher text contrast
- Reduced explosive barrels damage to the player
- Plasma gun cultists don’t track you through walls anymore
Bug fixing
- Fixed a bug causing the player to get a “pistol start” (ie losing your weapons) when using the “restart” button after dying
- Fixed a softlock that would happen when players died in the player death screen
- Fixed a bug where Chaos Marines would play their “alert” animation in a loop instead of fighting the player
- Fixed translation issues in Czech
- Fixed a bug that made the servo skull only scan health pickups : he will now point at more various things, including doors
- The Aspiring Champions no longer try to shoot you at point blank range
- Fixed an a bug where obtaining the Vortex grenade in C3M1 caused a crash
- Fixed the sound of teleporting portals sometimes not playing correctly
- Fixed issue with level loading hitch when loading an autosave from a different level
- Fixed a bug where bile projectile would stack on top of each other

How to download updates for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
