Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 and Nobunaga’s Ambition 2 coming out this August in Japan

Last week, Koei-Tecmo revealed two new games for the Nintendo 3DS: Romance of the Three Kingdom 2 and Nobunaga’s Ambition 2.

Nobunaga’s Ambition 2

Nobunaga’s Ambition 2 is a Nintendo 3DS remake of Nobunaga’s Ambition DS… which itself is a remake of Nobunaga’s Ambition: Tales of the Storms (the 8th entry in the series). This verson will include all 11 scenarios from the Nintendo DS one, but also two additional scenarios.

But that’s not the only additions: this 3DS version of the game will include the 900 military commanders from the Nintendo DS version, but also 100 new ones. Finally, the game will get a brand new interface (making it easier to play) and more save slots.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 is a Nintendo 3DS remake of Romance of the Three Kingdoms III, which originally came out on SNES, PC and Mega Drive. This version will include 100 new military commanders (800 in totals), but also an editor feature (allowing you to edit commanders and cities).

Here’s some screenshots for the two games:

The games will have several editions:

– stand-alone: 4 800 Yen (+ taxes)
– stand-alone (download): 4 286 Yen
– Nobunaga’s Ambition 2 Premium Box (game, soundtrack CD with 26 tracks, cloth pouch, stickers): 6 800 Yen (+ taxes)
– Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 Premium Box (game, soundtrack CD, cloth pouch, 30th Anniversary stickers): 6 800 Yen (+ taxes)
