Minecraft Legends: all the Shorts [Latest: Short #3]

In exactly 3 weeks, the latest game set in the Minecraft universe, Minecraft Legends, will be released worldwide. And ahead of that highly-awaited release, Mojang Studios are planning to release a series of Shorts. Those are meant to showcase some of the coolest things in the game to tide fans over until launch day, but without spoiling any of the major plot ploints.

And in this post, you will find all the Minecraft Legends Shorts in one place. Naturally, it will be updated on a regular basis (as soon as a new Short is shared), so keep checking back!

Here’s the Shorts available as of writing:

• Short #1: Uncover an Epic Story (March 28th)

The first short uncovers the epic story of the game and shows how the hero must outsmart the devious piglins to have a chance at defeating them. Show them just how big of a mistake it was to underestimate the Overworld!

• Short #2: Explore a Storied Land (April 4th)

In Minecraft Legends, not only do you get to experience the Overworld as you’ve never seen it before (lush and peaceful – aside from the piglins, of course) but you also get to explore many of its biomes, each with its own resources, mobs, and other surprises. And there’s only two weeks left to go until you can do it!

While in the actual game it’s nice to take your time to explore the unique Overworld in your playthrough (don’t dally too much though, with those piglins rampaging!) we thought we’d give you a bite-sized preview of some of the environments you’ll encounter on your hero’s journey.

From the majestic mangroves of the swamp to the deep ravines of the badlands, there’s much to explore and admire in the Overworld of Minecraft Legends. Just watch your step – fall damage is very much a thing, plus you never know who you might bump into…

• Short #3: Lead the Charge (April 11th)

The Overworld’s way of life was changed forever when the piglins opened the first Nether portal, and it’s up to you to stop them from destroying it for good. These vicious creatures will stop at nothing to get what they want, including destroying an entire world and its peaceful inhabitants.  

Is your bravery greater than the piglins’ hunger? Protect your friends and make new allies to push back against the spread of Nether corruption. The inhabitants of the Overworld are counting on you!

Legends (Switch) comes out on April 18th in Europe and North America, and April 19th in Japan.
