- Fixed Bug Causing Unresponsiveness When Accessing Volunteer Guidance Requests
Fixed a bug that caused the game to become unresponsive when attempting to access the Volunteer Guidance Request from the cell monitor.
- Adjusted Invincibility Frames During Evasion with Autocannons
Fixed a bug where invincibility frames during evasion were unintentionally extended when using Autocannons.
- Fixed Bug Where Thorn Ejection Could Skip Cutscenes
Fixed a bug where the Thorn Ejection button could unintentionally skip all in-battle camera cutscenes, such as those triggered when downing an Abductor.
- Fixed Bug Where Lock-On Was Cancelled During Spear Attacks
Fixed a bug where the lock-on would be disengaged when performing a weak attack with a spear while locked onto an enemy.
- Fixed Bug Where Accessory Loadout Deletion Caused Incorrect Display
Fixed a bug where deleting an accessory loadout in “Contribution Guidance Request > Appearance/Body Modification Records” would leave the accessory’s loadout name visible while incorrectly deleting the Sinner’s loadout name.

Fixed a bug where the destination icon would remain displayed after completing the operation “DO: XX8-5: Liquidation”
- Fixed Bug Where Skip Button Displayed as Thorn Ejection Button During Battles
Fixed a bug where the skip prompt during skippable battle cutscenes was incorrectly displayed as the Thorn Ejection button.

Fixed a bug where online room information would not update correctly, such as multiple players appearing with the same Sinner ID.

Specification adjustments/changes
- Ajusted Burn Damage
Increased the damage dealt by the Burn status effect, triggered by accumulated fire-based attacks.
- Adjusted Tracking Performance of Artificial Abductors’ Weapons
Adjusted the tracking performance of “H Missile Pod” and “Guided Missile Launcher” armaments used by Artificial Abductors.
- Adjusted Accessory Behavior to Improve Hit Detection with Certain Weapons
Adjusted the behavior of Accessories equipped with Igel-series weapons to improve hit accuracy, as attacks would often land short of the target.
- Adjusted Weapon Balance
- Murasame Series: Increased movement speed.
- Murasame & Damascus Knife Series: Increased damage for weak attack combos and downward slash in vertical spinning attacks.
- AAW Series: Decreased damage multiplier and blast radius in PvP; increased ammo replenishment rate.
- Igel Series: Increased magazine capacity, maximum ammo capacity, ammo replenishment rate, movement speed, and damage multiplier in PvP; attacks can now hit multiple parts.
- Blaster Series: Increased power, stagger damage, blast radius, headshot multiplier, and damage multiplier in PvP.
- Phalanx Series: Increased magazine capacity and maximum ammo capacity.
- Enryu Series: Adjusted to reduce the likelihood of bullets hitting the ground immediately after firing.
- Nambu Series: Adjusted to reduce the likelihood of bullets hitting the ground immediately after firing. Also, increased power and maximum lock-on count.
- Creamy Series: Increased magazine capacity and maximum ammo capacity.
- Mutated Weapons (Ammo Replenishment Rate): Significantly increased mutation parameters.
- Adjusted Part Break and Acquisition Rewards for General-Purpose Artificial Abductors
Adjusted the resource grades (A/B/C/D) obtained from part breaks and part pickups on Standard Bipedal and Quadrupedal Artificial Abductors to match the level of the target Abductor.
- Adjusted GDPP Earned in PvP Operations
Adjusted the amount of GDPP earned on the results screen of PvP operations.
- Removed Ability to Skip In-Battle Cutscenes with Thorn Ejection Button
Removed the ability to skip cutscenes using the Thorn Ejection button to prevent unintentional skipping.
- Added Dash Function Option
Added an option to enable or disable dashing by holding down the evade button, located under “Sinner Management Menu > Options > Other Settings.”
- Relaxed Requirements for Temporary Accessory Selection
Changed the feature so that temporary accessories—previously only usable when your own accessory was abducted—can now be freely used in any operation where accessories can accompany you.
Note: Temporary Accessories = Accessories of players who have exchanged Fellow Cards.

Added a function to view TIPS from “Accessory Services > Education Program Review Request.
- Changed Display Format of Modular Selection Screen
Changed the display format of the Modular Selection Screen so that if you possess multiple modulars of the same type, they will be grouped together by type.

Changed the sorting function in the Equipment Customization Screen so that when sorting by “Category,” the items are now sorted by weapon series instead of alphabetically by weapon name.

A bug where you couldn’t transition to charge attacks immediately after dashing when using Heavy Melee or Polearms has been fixed.- Fixed Modular Selection Bug
Personal Firearm: A bug where an invalid modular (increased fire rate) could be selected has been fixed for the Pulsar system.- Adjustments to Item Drop Behavior

- Change in default value of application authority for Cooperative Volunteers
The default setting for the application authority of cooperative volunteers has been changed from “Host Only” to “Everyone.”- Adjustment of Success Rate for Modular Synthesis
The success rate for modular synthesis has been adjusted, making it easier to strengthen modules.- Adjustment of Attack Hit Display for SR and AR Weapons

We plan to adjust the positioning of the damage displays that appear when using AR weapons, so that the one that the damage values from the impacts and explosions do not pile up on top of each other.

Unresponsiveness in Multiplayer Lobby
- Fixed a bug where players would become unresponsive in the online multiplayer lobby if another player joined after they had set their status to READY but before deployment.
Screen Freezing During Matching in Private Rooms
- Fixed a bug where, under certain conditions, canceling the matching process as the host in a private room would cause the guest’s game screen to freeze.
Issue with Operation Start Circle
- Fixed a bug where multiple players interacting with the same Contribution Start Circle simultaneously in a Co-op Room would prevent them from setting their status to “READY.
Items Dropping from Enemies That Shouldn’t
- Fixed a bug where items that should not drop were appearing as drops when defeating enemy characters.
No Reinforcements in Contribution Mission
- Fixed a bug, when playing online multiplayer a Contribution Mission where enemy reinforcements would not appear, preventing the mission from being completed.
Inability to Progress Due to Added Sentence for Natalia
- Fixed a bug where the screen would darken, preventing progression, when Natalia’s sentence was added in the solitary confinement scene.
Certain Contribution Missions Repeating Unintentionally
- Fixed a bug where certain special Contribution missions would not disappear from the Contribution list after completion, allowing them to be repeatedly played.
Equipping Boosters Beyond Cost Limit
- If a player equips a booster that exceeds the cost limit, the booster will now be automatically unequipped.
Deadly Sinner Icon
- Fixed a bug where the “great criminal” icon displayed above a player’s head was not visible on other players’ screens.
Ranking Board Update
- Fixed a bug where, immediately after transferring to a new panopticon, information regarding city-state status and the ranking board would not update.
Ally Character Behavior Fix
- Fixed a bug during contributions where ally characters would exhibit abnormal behavior while carrying citizens.

Specification adjustments/changes
[Willonite: Minimum Purity] GDPP Value
- The GDPP value earned upon delivering the corresponding item has been changed.
Adjustment to Thorn Gauge Consumption During Revival
- When performing a revival by approaching a character, the Thorn Gauge will no longer be consumed.
Note: If the revival is done by shooting thorns from a distance, the Thorn Gauge will still be
consumed as before.
Behavior When Colliding with Obstacles While Carrying Citizens
- During contributions, the staggering behavior when colliding with obstacles while carrying citizens has been shortened.
Attack Hitbox for Heavy Melee [Mimas] [Caliburn] Type Weapons
- The attack hitbox for the [Power Attack Charge 1] of the Heavy Melee [Mimas] and [Caliburn] type weapons has been adjusted to ensure that the hitbox now matches the visual appearance of the attack.
Power Attack Adjustment During Thorn Connection
- The system has been fixed so that when performing a power attack while connected to the Thorn with the Heavy Melee, instead of triggering a special attack that couldn’t be charged, a normal attack that can be charged will now occur. Additionally, performing a power attack during a Thorn connection will now cancel the Thorn connection for all weapons.
After a successful contribution, the chat was previously unavailable until the result screen
- This has been changed, and chat can now be used during the period between a successful contribution and the result screen.
Regarding the attack judgment of Dionaea’s [Dragon Beam]
- Adjustments have been made to the attack hitbox of the [Dragon Beam] fired by the large Abductor Dionaea.
Displaying Equipped Items on the Modular Synthesis Screen
- On the Modular Synthesis screen, all modules currently equipped on weapons will now display the [E] mark to indicate they are equipped.
Emote Behavior Changes
- Various adjustments have been made to the behavior of emotes, improving their ease of use.
Upcoming Update Plans
Japanese Character Name Input
- Character and accessory name entry will be updated to allow input in Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji).
Critical Multiplier for Mutated Weapons
- The critical hits for mutated weapons were occurring at an unintended multiplier, so this will be fixed.
Damage Display Issue
- We plan to fix a bug where the effect was not reflected in the damage display even though a defensive booster was equipped.
Health Booster Issue
- We plan to fix a bug where the effects of [Health Enhancement] boosters are not being properly applied in-game.
Voice Volume Adjustment
- We will adjust the volume balance to improve audibility, as some in-game voices were difficult to hear in certain situations.
Improved stability
- We plan to fix a bug that causes crashes and freezes in certain situations.

How to download updates for FREEDOM WARS Remastered for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for FREEDOM WARS Remastered, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
