FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse to launch on March 9th worldwide, Digital Deluxe version and bonuses announced

Today is Halloween, and Koei-Tecmo decided to celebrate it by announcing the release date of FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on Nintendo Switch (first announced during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation in September).

This remaster of the Wii game will launch on March 9th worldwide, and as previously announced, only Japan will get a physical release. Since the previous game, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, was updated to add an English language option in Japan, import should be an option for players who really want to get their hands on a physical copy of the game!

Koei-Tecmo also announced that the game is getting a Digital Deluxe Edition. It includes the following:

• the full game
• Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set
• digital art book
• original soundtrack

In Japan, a Premium Box version will also be sold. It costs 12 080 Yen (5 700 Yen for the SKU without the game), and includes:

• the full game
• art book
• original soundtrack CD (Lunar Eclipse Sound Collection)
• original soundtrack download (serial code, 150 tracks)
• 2 clear files

And that’s not all. Players who pre-order the game or buy it at launch (before March 22nd) will get some bonuses:

A decade after five young girls mysteriously disappeared at an island festival, their memories of the events that transpired during their disappearance remain fuzzy. But when two of the girls are found dead days apart ten years after the initial vanishing, the remaining three teenagers head back to the island — a haunted place possessed by ghosts and spirits — to solve the mystery of their friends’ deaths, while also unlocking the secrets to the memories they left behind.
