Imperatum

Last week, Pro Social Games announced that Imperatum, a Sci-Fi Diablo-like, was headed to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Here’s a trailer and some details:

Imperatum is an Action RPG set in a future Sci-Fi universe. You are an agent, thrown headfirst into your first mission trying to unravel the mystery of the veil that is consuming the galaxy. The game focuses on the core ARPG ‘trinity’ mechanics of fast-paced combat, deep character customization and tons of loot!

Imperatum (Switch – eShop) comes out later this year in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

Enter the Gungeon

Last week, Dodge Roll Games announced that the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns expansion for Enter the Gungeon will be released as a free update on July 19th (provided it goes through lotcheck without a hitch). Here’s all that’s included in this expansion:

  • hundreds of new rooms with dozens of new weapons, items, enemies, and ammo types
  • hundreds of new, wild synergies
  • more generous drops rates
  • slide over tables and coffins
  • and more…

Fortnite

Death Squared

Last week, SMG Studio announced that Death Squared has sold over 52 000 units in a year on Nintendo Switch. While this may not seem like much, the developers explained that they’re making more revenue (a year in) than when they launched on the other consoles.

Also, this was their first console game, and they were profitable. What’s more, it opened up many other opportunities for them, allowed them to earn new fans, made them lean various things, and got them some neat contacts for future projects. Overall, it seems to have been a really positive experience for them!

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax

At Anime Expo 2018, Aksys Games announced another game for the Nintendo Switch, to be released on the Nintendo eShop. That game is called Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax, and here’s all we know about it so far:

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax is a fast-paced 1-4 player local co-op action shooter, combining SHMUP/Brawler gameplay with RPG elements.

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

Touhou Soujin Engi V

Last week, Mediascape announced Touhou Soujin Engi V for the Nintendo Switch, to be released on July 26th in Japan (price: 3 000 Yen). It’s a rather standard RPG, where you have to really take advantage of enemy weaknesses to progress: simply leveling up isn’t enough.
