Dragon Ball Fusions to feature Arale, new fusion revealed

Dragon Ball FusionsAkira Toriyama is the author of the Dragon Ball manga, which remains one of the most famous manga (and anime) of all times not just in Japan, but in the entire world. It’s naturally his most prominent manga, and he spent more than 11 years working on it when it was serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump. But it was with a comedy manga called Dr Slump that Akira Toriyama made his grand debut.

The heroine of Dr Slump is one Arale Norimaki, and she recently made an appearance in the Dragon Ball Super anime series as a cameo (which wasn’t the first time she made a cameo appearance in the Dragon Ball series). And it turns out she will also be in Dragon Ball Fusions, as a playable character.

This bit of news comes from Jump magazine, which also reveals a brand new EX Fusion (which requires the Metamon ring): EX Towale (Arale + Towa).

Also, Jump magazine reveals that players will be able to create their own fusions with pretty much any characters, though it’s not clear how this will work just yet.

Make sure to check out this post for the latest batch of screenshots for the game (updated today), and the Special Attack for some of the characters!

Dragon Ball Fusions (3DS) comes out on August 4th in Japan.
