Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer – JP website update, new videos

Announced during the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is a spin-off for the Animal Crossing series. This time around, you’re not the Mayor, you’re an employee of the Tom Nook Housing company, and your goal is to design houses, apartments, and so much more, for your clients.

Today, Nintendo updated the Japanese official website for the game, and added a couple of videos and some additional pictures. First, you start by chatting with your client, in order to know what they want. Then, you chose where their home will be located, the style of the house, and some other details (such as the fences, for example). Once it’s done, you take care of the interior proper!

Here’s a video which shows the player taking care of the exterior of the house:

Head after the break for the rest of the videos!

Next, we have a series of three videos, in which the player designs a house with Beach as the theme. The first one is about picking up the right pattern for the walls and the floor:

The second video shows the player picking up the right style of window and door:

Finally, the last video shows the player picking up various accessories (such as a life ring, a radio and more), so that their client can really feel at home:

Here’s various screencaps from the website:

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS) comes out on July 30th in Japan, September 25th in North America and October 2nd in Europe.
