Nindies Love You

Nindies Love YouYesterday, the Nindies Love You sale started in Europe, North America, and Australia (you can find the list of games on sale on this page). If you’re wondering how this sale came to be, you can read this interview of Greg Wiggleton of ZeNfA Productions (developer of ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimension!).

Greg Wiggleton explains when he had the idea for that sale, what he had to do to make it happen, how Nintendo recommended to have it in January or February instead of the holiday period, how the final list of games on sale came together,  what kind of challenges he faced setting everything up, and more.

He also gives an update on his current project:

  • Drop It: Block Paradise!: physics-based puzzle game, with 100 unique levels and a level editor. Game is 70% complete.
  • Rocket!: 2D action space shooter inspired by Asteroids. The game will have various types of asteroids, bosses and enemy ships, block holes, and more. The game may also get online multiplayer (co-op and VS). Development is 40% complete.

Replay: VHS Is Not Dead

Replay: VHS Is Not Dead is a puzzle platformer featuring over 70 levels, in 4 different universes. It was released in July on Steam, and it was rated by the USK (German equivalent of the PEGI) in November. It looks like the game is almost ready to be released in Europe: according to the Nintendo eShop, it should be released on February 25th in that region. No doubt we will get a confirmation within the next few days!

Thanks NintendoHall for the heads up.

Inside My Radio

Inside My Radio is a Music/Platform/Adventure/Puzzle for the Wii U, and published by Seaven Studio. According to a listing on the Nintendo eShop, the game should be released on February 25th.

Thanks NintendoHall for the heads up!

The Deer God

The Deer God is  3D pixel art platform, which is coming pretty soon to Wii U. On Kickstarter, the creator posted an update to tell fan that Wii U codes for North America would soon be distributed. Unfortunately, it looks like European players will have to wait a tad more.

SteamWorld Heist: The Engine Room #9

This week, Image & Form was supposed to have a Q&A, but it will have to wait until next time. Instead, they decided to show the Japanese trailer for SteamWorld Dig!

Here is the 9th episode of The Engine Room:

SteamWorld Heist (Wii U) will come out later this year. In the mean time, the Nintendo 3DS version is still available on the Nintendo eShop, in Europe and North America!
