Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster – Ver. 1.2

Features:

  • The intro screen has been animated.
  • Added Gamma Slider
  • Added a screen gamma slider to adjust the game brightness.
  • Added an option to swap the sticks used for the weapon and item wheel.
  • Improved the bindings menu with helpful categories.
  • Added bindings for controlling the automap.
  • Localization improvements and fixes.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where it was difficult to hit enemies whilst standing above or below them.
  • Fixed crashes that could occur when closing the game while a video was playing.
  • Fixed several crashes when loading and playing various community maps.
  • Fixed a crash when exiting the game on the multiplayer endscreen.
  • Fixed sounds and music sometimes incorrectly playing when cutscenes are playing.
  • Fixed sound becoming desynced with cutscenes on rare occasions.
  • Fixed some texture alignment issues on Wharf, Sanctuary, and Buckshotville.
  • Fixed an out of bounds issue on Dry Gulch, Simms at Night, and Orleans.
  • Added extra doorways to improve map flow on Simms at Night.
  • Fixed no footstep sounds being heard on some surfaces in Buckshotville and Hargrove’s Repair.
  • Fixed the knife not counting towards multiplayer frags.
  • The Vanishing Cream will no longer make players more visible on night time stages.
  • The sheriff star badge has been moved to not cover up the frag table in multiplayer.
  • The knife is now correctly aligned to the screen when playing multiplayer as some characters.
  • Disconnecting a gamepad now shows the disconnection message on the multiplayer end screen.
  • Fixed a screen flicker when throwing dynamite at the Ranch boss’ door.
  • The width of the lines in the automap is now dependent on the screen resolution, which should make it much more readable at higher resolutions.
  • Disabled the previously hardcoded low pass filter for sound effects, which wasn’t having the intended effect.
  • Audio sources are now properly stopped when a sound comes to an end.
  • Fixed names above players heads flickering in certain situations.
  • Fixed a small visual glitch in the software renderer when rendering the HUD hearts.
  • Fixed a bug where setting gamepad smoothing to zero would prevent the player from looking around.
  • Removed the “Other Fire” binding, which wasn’t hooked up to anything.
  • Fixed screen tints not fading out properly when playing at higher than 250fps.
  • Fixed the sky not spinning and water not warping at 1000fps or higher.
  • Fixed storyboard items in the vault without an image showing an empty space.
  • Fixed certain sounds (such as crackling fireplace) persisting beyond their intended range.
  • Fixed certain HUD elements being incorrect after turning Enhanced Rendering off.

Bug Fixes – Nintendo Switch:

  • Fixed a game crash on Nintendo Switch when waking the machine up from hibernation.
  • Fixed a missing disconnect popup when a Joycon is disconnected.

How to download updates for Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
