Day of the Shell: fast-paced tactical roguelite announced for Switch (and Switch 2)
Day of the Shell is a fast-paced, tactical, minimalistic roguelite developed by Duper Games (and published by Goblinz Publishing and Entalto Publishing, with the latter also in charge of porting duties). It has a rather interesting twist: each turn is played in one, single click!
Here’s a trailer showing what to expect:
Day of the Shell is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year, in Q3 to be precise. Also, the plan is to bring the game to Nintendo Switch 2 in the future (whenever Nintendo starts offering Nintendo Switch 2 devkits to all developers instead of a select few).
Here’s some additional details about the game:
Day of the Shell is a fast-paced, tactical, minimalistic roguelite, where each turn is played in a single click. Use your action to move or shoot, and obtain several blessings that will shape your playstyle to aid you in your search through the isles.
In a world where the gods have brought down their wrath on humanity and only a few remote islands remain, a lonely monster huntress has risen to challenge and appease the gods, traveling through what’s left of the world. Survive against monsters and collect treasures on each island to open its portal, and if you fail your quest, make sure to improve yourself for the next day.
Day of the Shell (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet, but is slated for a Q3 2025 release in Europe and North America. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow at a later date.
