Old Skies invites Nintendo Switch players to a time travel adventure this April

Wadjet Eye Games has announced that Old Skies, the latest story-driven adventure game from Dave Gilbert (Unavowed, Blackwell series, and more), will launch on April 23rd on Nintendo Switch.

Old Skies is an adventure game that will have you travel through time in order to sold a total of 7 cases spanning two centuries. Accompany your clients as they jump through time either out of curiosity, or to finish some unresolved businesses. Just make sure not to get caught in time paradoxes as you do so…

To celebrate the release date announcement, Wadjet Eye Games shared a brand new video for the game, introducing Hanna Tanaka (one of your assigments in the game):

Hanna Tanaka is a retired police detective haunted by the one case she could never solve: the murder of her best friend on September 10th, 2001.

And here’s some additional details about the game:

Fia Quinn is a time traveler, accompanying clients of the ChronoZen Time Travel Agency on jumps to other eras to make sure they don’t rewrite important aspects of history. Some of these people are merely curious. Others have unresolved business. As long as they can pay for the trip, their motivations don’t matter to Fia… until they do.

Jump with Fia into seven time-travel cases spanning two centuries, from the speakeasies of Prohibition to the vicious gangs of the Gilded Age to the World Trade Center on September 10, 2001. Solve temporal problems, survive paradoxes, and resolve the mistakes of the past or die trying — as many times as it takes.

What could go wrong? It’s only time travel, after all.

Old Skies ups the ante for Wadjet Eye’s output with high-res 1920×1080 graphics hand-drawn by artist Ben Chandler, an original musical score by composer Thomas Regin, and professional voice acting from Wadjet Eye’s largest cast to date. Though Old Skies can be enjoyed by anyone, plenty of references and Easter eggs are waiting for those familiar with Unavowed and the Blackwell mysteries.

Old Skies (Switch – eShop) comes out on April 23rd in Europe and North America.
