SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris – Ver. 3.0.1

  • Release date: March 27th 2023 (North America) / March 28th 2023 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
New Additional Contents
  • Added free additional story update part #5 “Ancient Apostles: the Bound Angel”, #6 “Ancient Apostles: The Dark Piscine”, #7 “Ancient Apostles: The Corpse of Demise”, and #8 “Ancient Apostles: The Clown of Confusion”
    • *Each Ancient Apostles would be accessible by completing the previous Ancient Apostles story.
    • *If the Ancient Apostles contents does not start, please try below.
      • If Cardinal is set as one of the party members, please remove her from the party.
      • If the player is in a village or a town, such as Rulid village, please exit from the dungeon, a village, or a town.
    • *Note that once an Ancient Apostles quest is activated, players would not be able to play “Blooming of Forget-me-not”, “Memory Arena”, “Arcane Arsenal”, multiplayer mode, and retrying the fight with Administrator.
  • Increased the level cap of the playable characters from 120 to 199.

*The level cap will be upgradable after updating the game to Ver. 3.01.

  • Increased the level cap of the SYSTEM CONTROL AUTHORITY level from 120 to 199.

  • Increased the level of weapons from 50 to 99.

*In order to level up, the player must complete Mutated Beast Quest to obtain the required resources.
*For equipment with low basic parameters, there are occasions where the parameters will not change when strengthening after +50.

  • Increased the level cap of enemies from 780 to 999.
  • Five new Series Equipment has been added
  • Series equipment activates a passive skill that greatly increases your status by equipping three different types of equipment of the same series.
  • Added new weapon: “Shield & Axe”
  • Added new skill tree for Shield & Axe

*This weapon combines the tank-like role of gathering enemy attention and preventing attacks with the attacker’s role of overwhelming the enemy with firepower.
*Can be obtained from stores, crafting, and treasure chests when completing raid dungeons.
*Currently the weapon can only be equipped by Kirito and Rogu, who will join Kirito’s party in the Blooming of Matricaria update.

  • Added new Equipment
  • Added playable character: Eydis

*Eydis will be added to the Friend List after the main scenario is completed.

  • Added “Ultimate Kirito” to the Memory Arena.
  • Added three new SP weapons that can be exchanged at the Memory Exchange.
    • You can exchange it for an eligible weapon of the same name, enhanced to +99.

*SP Weapons that has been added to the Memory Exchange cannot be strengthened.

*Exchangeable weapons will be unique weapons whereenhancement values cannot be transferred to other weapons.

 

  • Added more options for using “Exchange Tickets”.
    • “Exchange Tickets” in the SAO SHOP can be exchanged for “CUBE Tickets” or “Incarnation Shard Tickets”.
    • CUBE Tickets can be exchanged in the SAO Shop.
    • You can now trade in Incarnation Shard Tickets for Incarnation Shards by speaking to the Enigma Brokerat North Centoria.
  • Added new Attachments.
    • Attachments that remove the negative effects from the current Attachments with negative effects have been implemented.
  • Elimination of “Recommended Level” and change of notation to “Enemy Lv.”
  • The ‘Recommended Level’ in each quest has been changed to ‘Enemy Level’
  • Changed the benefits when controlling party members other than Kirito.
    • When usingother the other squads led by characters such as Asuna or Bercouli,buff effects such as increased EXP have been added.
    • When controlling Bercouli’s party, treasure chests have been improvedto contain more valuable items.
  • Added Incarnation Shards exchange system
    • Incarnation Shards can now be exchanged with a different sized shard of the same color peaking to the Enigma Broker at North Centoria.
  • Added new items in “Memory Exchange”
    • New accessory: Recollection Jewel
    • 100 Incarnation Shards L

*Players can exchange above items for “Memory Badge” which can be obtained by defeating “Ultimate Kirito” in the Memory Arena.

*The newly added accessory is an exclusive equipment for Kirito.

Battle
  • Raid Quest Reborn series: Changed the max level from 500 to 999.
  • Special rewards will be awarded for the first defeat of a level 999 boss.
  • Partial adjustment of quest rewards for the “Reborn” series up to level 500.
System
  • Added the ability to preferentially update Play Avatars.
  • The ability to “reserve update” for Play Avatars that have already been added to your friends list and are locked.

*Only one avatar can be reserved at a time, and the reservation will be cancelled when the avatar is updated.

  • The number of items required to strengthen equipment +6 to +50 has been adjusted.
Other
  • Fixed other minor bugs and issues.

SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris – Ver. 2.0.1

  • Release date: January 15th 2023 (North America) / January 16th 2023 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
New Additional Contents 
  • Increased the level cap of playable characters from 100 to 110.
    *The new level cap will be upgradable after updating the game to Ver. 2.0.1.
  • Increased the level of weapons from 25 to 30.
    *In order to level up, the player must complete the Mutated Beast Quest to obtain the required resources.
  • Increased the level cap of the SYSTEM CONTROL AUTHORITY level from 50 to 110.
    *The level cap will be upgradable after updating the game to Ver. 2.0.1
  • Added new costumes and avatar parts.
    *Costumes will be automatically added to the character creation and visualize attire after updating the game to Ver. 2.0.1.  

    • Added avatar parts and costumes of “Mito” from Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night 
    • Added avatar parts and costumes of “Alphen” and “Shionne” from Tales of Arise
  • Added new weapons in “Memory Exchange”
  • Added new feature; “Gear Synthesis” 
    • Using the “Memory Coin” allows players to transfer the Enhance level of one equipment to another. 
      *Equipment that has an Enhance level below +5 cannot be used in the Gear Synthesis. 
      *Unique equipment such as the “Night-Sky Blade” cannot be used as resources for the Gear Synthesis. 
      *Equipment that has been used as material for Gear Synthesis will be consumed and lost. 
      *After completing the free additional story update part #4 “Ancient Apostles”: The Blue-Eyed Demon”, players can access Memory Exchange from the raid dungeon access points. 
  • Added the Mutated Beast Quest Lv300 in each empire
  • Added Evolved Raid Bosses 
    *Once the existing raid bosses reaches Lv200, they will evolve. Evolved Raid Bosses have different looks and attacks. Defeating these more powerful Raid Bosses will grant even grander rewards to the players.
  • Added new Equipment
  • The number of Incarnation Shards required to enhance equipment has been reduced 
  • The number of Incarnation Shards required to reach the “+25” enhancement has been reduced 
Battle 
  • The limit on the number of days players can participate in the Mutated Beast Quest and the Memory Arena has been removed. Players will be able to challenge the quests of each content at any time.
    *Internet connection is required in order to challenge these quests.
  • Changed the max level for below quests; 
    • Raid Quest Reaper Reborn: Changed the max level from 200 to 400 
    • Raid Quests Knight Reborn, King Reborn, Demon Reborn: Changed the max level from 199 to 400
  • Increased overall Sacred Art Power
  • Activating an attack by Sacred Arts after a sword skill while the target is available for chain will now trigger a “Sacred Art Chain Burst”
  • Adjusted the Spear sword skill as below: 
    • Decreased the Attack level of Double Helix from 6 to 5 
    • Decreased the active debuff time of Dimension Stampede for from 15 seconds to 10 seconds 
System 
  • Characters “Strea” and “Philia” can now use the Visualize Attire 
  • Adjusted the ACC against enemies of a higher level than the player during battle. 
  • Adjusted the learning rate of unlearned personal arts codes so that they no longer decrease when they are replaced 
  • Added new item drop specifications 
  • Defeating enemies added from Ver. 2.0.1 will have a chance to drop accessories
    *Certain accessories are not eligible. 
  • Changed Combat Skills and Passive Skills for certain weapons and accessories 
  • Changed the skill granted to the bracelet accessory “XT Charm Bangle” from the Passive Skill: Enlightenment+ to the Passive Skill: Abandonment. 
Other 
  • Fixed other minor bugs and issues.

How to download updates for SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
