RIVE: SHMUPSTRAVAGANZA Trailer

Two Tribes is mostly known for their puzzle games (such as Toki Tori or EDGE), but their new project couldn’t be any more different. Indeed, RIVE is a rather hecting twin-stick shooter, in which you control a robot which can hack other robots, in order to alter their behaviour. If you’re looking for an intense 360 degree shooter with some platforming elements, you’re definitely in for a treat!

Here’s some of the features of the game, which is described as an “Old school game design sensibilities, in a decidedly new school execution”.

– a rather hectic shooter with some platforming
– various hacks can be collected, in order to alter the behaviours of the enemy robots
– Music and Sound Design by Sonic Picnic.
– Backstory by Dutch author and games journalist Niels ‘t Hooft.
