Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us getting a limited theatrical release later this year

Last year, and for the first time in many years, the latest Pokémon movie (Pokémon: I Choose You) received a theatrical release outside Japan… albeit, a limited one. This was a real success, with many fans attending the limited screening in several countries. In fact, it was so successful that The Pokémon Company announced that the latest movie, Pokémon The Movie: The Power of Us (known in Japan as “Pokémon The Movie: Everyone’s Story”) is also getting a limited theatrical release!

Once again, it’s Fathom Events that was chosen as partner for this event. The press release mentions that there will be screenings in “select cinemas in multiple territories”. So far, we only have dates for the United States:

  • November 24th
  • November 26th
  • November 28th
  • December 1st

More details about the limited screenings will be shared at a later date.

In the mean time, here’s a trailer and some details about Pokémon The Movie: The Power of Us:

Based on the globally popular Pokémon brand, Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us follows Ash and Pikachu as they join forces with a diverse new cast of characters to rescue a seaside town from a series of threatening incidents. Filled with unique challenges and thrilling Pokémon battles, and set during a festival celebrating the Legendary Pokémon Lugia, this heartwarming film illustrates the value of teamwork and putting aside each other’s differences.
