The friends of Ringo Ishikawa
Earlier this week, Circle Ent. announced yet another game for the Nintendo Switch: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa. We don’t have a release date, but we do have some details and a trailer (from the PC version):
The friends of Ringo Ishikawa is a game that wants you to ‘feel the story’; you experience the world and its activities as you see fit as you guide the protagonist through his final term at High School. Below is a summary from yeo:
“You should play it if:
- You’re fond of good stories with strong dialogue (especially about growing up).
- You’re a fighting game enthusiast eager to try out some new mechanics.
- You’re into some yakuza-delinquent aesthetics.
Basically, the game is an existential open world beat ’em up with some school-sim elements. It has a little of everything: a town to explore, a day-night cycle, NPCs on schedules, battle grinding, school grinding, mini-games (ping-pong, billiards, video poker, a videogame console with one game…) and so on.”
The friends of Ringo Ishikawa (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

RecoChoku
Starting today, an app the popular music service RecoChoku is available for download on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo Switch, in Japan. It allows you to purchase music (over 10 million tracks available), listen to it, get info on your favourite artists, and more. Of course, your music isn’t stuck on your Nintendo Switch: you can listen to it on pretty much any device as long as you use the same RecoChoku account (of course, that also means any music you already own is also available on your Nintendo Switch).
