Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave – Expansion Pass revealed
Ever since Fire Emblem: Awakening on Nintendo 3DS, virtually every Fire Emblem game (even the Warriors games) has received DLC. And naturally, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was not going to be an exception!
Today, Nintendo has revealed the Expansion Pass for the game. It will consist of 3 waves of content, with the first one available… right now! (Make sure you download the latest update beforehand.)
First up, here’s the reveal trailer for the Expansion Pass:
The Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will bring a variety of content, ranging from additional weapons to new story content. As mentioned above, they will be released in three waves.
Wave 1 (available now)
Wave 1 consists of 4 prototype weapons modeled after the Heroes’ Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. You can get in Part 1 of each protagonist’s route.
Prototype No. 1

In Dietrich’s route, you can get a sword called Prototype No. 1. Its shape resembles that of the Sword of the Creator, the weapon wielded by Byleth, the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Prototype No. 7

In Cai’s route, you can get a spear called Prototype No. 7. It closely resembles Areadbhar, the spear wielded by Dimitri, King of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus.

Prototype No. 11

In Theodora’s route, you can get a bow called Prototype No. 11. It bears a striking resemblance to Failnaught, the weapon wielded by Claude, leader of the Leicester Alliance.

Prototype No. 5

In Leda’s route, you can get an axe called Prototype No. 5. It looks like Aymr, the weapon wielded by Edelgard, Empress of the Adrestian Empire.

You can get those weapons either in Part 1 or Part 3. You first need to meet the following conditions:
- Part 1: complete a quest you can accept from the information board in Dagsion, starting in Chapter 4.
- Part 3: obtained in Dasgion during free time. The weapons you get depend on the routes you’ve cleared.

Wave 2: Additional Allies (3 gods) (out in Holiday 2026)
Wave 2 allows you to recruit 3 gods who rule the land of Dagda as allies, so you can use them in battle in your fight against Balor in Part 3.
Aurora, the Goddess of Stars and Navigation

Smyrnos, the God of Magic

Jurah, the Goddess of Fertility

One thing to note about those characters is that they do not gain strength by leveling up. Right off the bat, they possess immense strength (they ARE gods after all!), which is bound to be particularly useful in Part 3 of the game.
Details about the conditions you need to meet before you can recruit those characters as allies will be shared at a later date.
Wave 2: New outfits (4 in total) (out in Holiday 2026)
Wave 2 of the Expansion Pass also includes 4 new outfits. They change the characters’ appearance in battle and during exploration.

Just like the weapons from Wave 1, you can get those outfits either in Part 1 or Part 3.
- Part 1: you get the outfits in each protagonist’s route when you become able to explore Dagsion.
- Part 3: you get the outfits in Dagsion during free time. Again, the outfits you get depend on the routes you’ve cleared.
Do note that once unlocked, each outfit can be worn by any character, not just those of their respective routes.

Wave 3: New story content (out in 2027)
Wave 3 will feature new storylines featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia. New units and new classes will also be added.
