Update 2

The update is now live (Ver 1.1.0)! It adds:

– 2 new stages
– 8 Mii costumes, including the free K.K. Slider
– a pack with all 4 DLC characters (Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy and Ryu)
– gameplay balancing
– stability and other minor changes.

The update requires 3383 blocks of free space on your Nintendo 3DS and 475MB on your Wii U. NB: videos recorded with a previous version of the game will not work anymore, and the update is mandatory to play online.

Update

As mentionned yesterday, new costumes for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / Nintendo 3DS DLC have been revealed. You will find all the details below!

Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo announced it a few minutes ago via Twitter: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will get a new update on Friday. This update will bring quite a few things:

– Tourney Mode (Wii U only)
– Replay sharing (including via YouTube, Wii U only)
– new Stages: Peach’s Castle and Hyrule Castle (250 Yen each if bought separately, 350 Yen for both if bought together)
– new Mii costumes: Parka (all Mii), King K. Rool (Mii Fighter), Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening (Mii Sworfighter), Flying Man from Earthbound Beginnings (Mii Fighter), Bear (Mii Gunner), Llyod from Tales of Sympgonia (Mii Swordfighter), Black Knight from Fire Embem: Path of Radiance (Mii Swordfighter) and Samus set (Mii Gunner)..

Wii U

    • Users will be able to purchase newly added downloadable content.
    • Added Community and Regular Tournament Modes.

Users can create custom rules and duration of Community Tournaments.

Users can also advertise their tournaments in the Tourney Community in Miiverse.

    • Added functionality to post replays to YouTube.

Replays can be viewed on YouTube and the Replay Viewing Community in Miiverse.
